The San Juan is one of the great tailwater fisheries anywhere and for that reason many fishermen are drawn to the Four Corners area. At the same time many fishermen are not aware that only a one hour drive north will bring them to more trout waters like the Animas, Piedra and Dolores Rivers to name a few. LOWER RIVER
For those who have already experienced the Quality Waters of the San Juan, Duranglers also offers a float trip on the lower river that is not accessible to the public wade fishing. The big dry fly and streamer fishing this section offers is quite a contrast to the technical small bug fishing and numbers of anglers of the upper river. Its a great way to fish two rivers in one.
